Experience
Jennifer left school at the age of 16 to enrol in college and learn hairdressing, and hasn’t looked back. Whilst studying, it soon became apparent that the part of the job Jennifer most enjoyed was cutting hair, not straightening, perming or dying. With this in mind she went down the barbering route, focussing her abilities on cutting men’s hair. Subsequently, she took a job at a gentleman’s grooming establishment in the City, where she honed her skilled and really specialised on men’s hair.

She now has ten years of barbering experience and is adept at all aspects of the male grooming experience, including wet shaves and beard trims.   Jennifer relishes a challenge and has a passion for the rock and roll of days gone by. Outside of work she enjoys socialising with friends and family and spending time with her daughter.

Definition

Jennifer’s main aim is to always make the experience relaxing, enjoyable and satisfying for the client. She believes that a haircut is as much about feeling comfortable and confident as it is about looking good.

Jennifer’s experiences have led her to the conclusion that men are increasingly willing to diversify their approach to grooming, and are ultimately more adventurous; how else can you explain the rapid growth and expansion of the male grooming industry?

Best Haircut

“I really like the ‘teddy boy’ look of bygone years; classic quiffs and slick partings that blend good styling with a really raw masculinity. I’m also partial to George Clooney’s defined yet messy crop – but then, so are most women!”

Hair Tip

“I think I have to pass on the classic hairdressing tip; when it comes to product, less really is more. Too often I see guys overdoing the wax or paste, but if you have the right hair cut, trimmed regularly, then only a small amount of styling product is needed to give the right texture and shape.”
