Vincent Vincent: So Canadian they named him twice

Coming all the way from Vancouver, Canada, Vincent has been in the barbershop since he was old enough to stand. First starting in his father’s barbers, he’s come a long way. Claiming he’s “an old man trapped in a young man’s body” he has a strong passion for the art of men’s grooming.

What is your preferred drink?

“I’m always in the mood for an Old Fashion or a really well made Manhattan. Although I can’t resist a Newcastle Brown Ale after a long day at work”

How would you describe your personal style?

“I tend to be drawn towards classic vintage pieces but more important than anything the fit always matters most to me. My Dad always told me, “it doesn’t matter how expensive your clothes are, if they don’t fit you right you’ll always look cheap.”

What’s your favourite item of clothing you own?

“Myox-blood Doc Martens from the 70’s. I could stand for ages and walk for miles in them. Anytime I visit a new city I bring them”.

If you had to choose another city other than London to live in, which would it be?

Probably Portland. It’s a surprise to most people when they find out it has great local bands and an amazing art scene. If you’re ever there go and get a cup of coffee from Stumptown, trust me.

What’s your philosophy on physical appearance, well being and grooming?

“I think Morrisey put it best when he said “I do maintain if your hair is wrong, your whole life is wrong.”

Name 5 people living or deceased that you would have over for dinner?

“David Lynch, J Mascis, Stephen Malkmus, H.G. Wells, Kate Bush.”

What do you think makes a good barber?

“Someone who let’s you feel comfortable enough to explain what you want, provides a professional yet personal service, and has you leaving feeling great cause you got exactly what you asked for!”
