Mr Pascal Behrenbruch

We like hair, we like big occasions, that’s why we like to pick out our favourite hair of our favourite big occasions such as fashion weeks, international football tournaments, film award ceremonies, and time handily measured in 12 month periods. So we were really excited when the hubbub of the 30th Olympiad came to town because we would class that under ‘Favourite Big Occasions’. What an opportunity to classify our Favourite Hair of one of our Favourite Big Occasions, we thought to ourselves! Running our hands through our own perfectly groomed hair as we did so.

However, once we started watching The Games we discovered that modern Olympic athletes mainly have hair that’s practical for the sport in which they participate, and unlike in football, haircuts don’t have such a strong place in the iconography of athletics.  Maybe we were watching the wrong sports but just one man stood out for us in the hairstyle stakes of the gents who were running, jumping, swimming and shooting etc, the young, extremely German looking German decathlete Mr Pascal Behrenbruch. Note that all hair cuts look better when the gent sporting the hair cut is tanned, healthy looking and in splendid shape.

As for facial hair, the Gold medal, without question goes to Mr James Harden of the US Basketball team as we noted before the games had even begun.
